Description

Mountain monument under construction in the form of Crazy Horse, an Oglala Lakota warrior, riding a horse and pointing into the distance. The sculpture's final dimensions are planned to be 195 m wide and 172 m high. The head of Crazy Horse will be 27 m high. The face of Crazy Horse was completed and dedicated in 1998.

Sculptor

Korczak Ziółkowski (Boston, Mass. 1908 - Crazy Horse, 1982), Polish-American sculptor; in 1939, he assisted Gutzon Borglum in the carving of the Mt. Rushmore Memorial (Wikipedia).
