Description

Bronze statue of Columbus wearing ankle-boots and a loosely-fitted tunic. His right hand is held up to his forehead, shading his eyes. His left arm is akimbo. It stands on a concrete pedestal. The top of the pedestal is raised in front and resembles the prow of a boat. On the proper right side of the pedestal, near the top, an anchor hangs down from a hole. On the back side pedestal is a bronze coat-of-arms of Columbus, on the right side a bronze anchor.
