Description

3.5 m tall statue of hammered steel, portraying a nineteen-year-old soldier in full combat gear, asking a question that can be phrased a hundred different ways. For many of us it asks, "Why do you forget us?"

Annotation

The statue is a monument to the living veteran. The monument came at time when veterans need a positive focus. It exposes the veteran in a very human way, with dignity.

Sculptor

Rodger M. Brodin (-1995), American sculptor, with his brother Neil founder of Brodin Studios Inc. (1982) in Minneapolis, now in Lichfield MN. (Website).
