Marble plaque, U.S. flag and flag pole. The flag had flown over U.S. Capitol. Site of yearly Columbus Day ceremony.

Annotation
The monument is located on the south end of the park at 125th Street on the bay side of Coastal Highway. It is not very large or prominent, but it does have a place of respect. It is at one of the main entrances to the park.
