Bronze statue of Columbus with his right foot forward. His right hand holds a compass and his left hand holds a small globe. On a pedestal made of large granite stones.

Annotation

Donated by the United Italian Societies. In 1955 the statue was completely recast in bronze. In 1992, monument received a memorial stone dedicated by the Greater New Haven Columbus Day Committee.
