Annotation

The First National Bank Building on the northeast corner of Hollywood and Highland was built in 1927 and until 1932 was the tallest building in Hollywood. It was designed by the architectural firm Meyer and Holler, who also designed Grauman's Chinese Theatre and the Egyptian Theatre. The building shows many reliefs of persons.

Comment by thepetecom:

March 18, 2006 Global Anti-War LA protest shot #1 --I'm so bored of protests and I got there early so I took a walk around the heart of Hollywood--noticed this engraving on a building that looks like it was caught between two architectural periods. Overall it's a bland building but it also had several engravings like this one just above the first floor. Go fig.
