Description

Two reliefs in blind windows of the Casa del Castello (town hall).

Faetano - Le finestre dei Capitani
A 'Capitano di Castello' ('mayor') in dress of the 15th century. He holds a scroll with the date A.D. MCCCCLXIII - Faetano was attached voluntarily to San Marino in 1463 in the last territorial expansion.

Depicted are the Captain Regents, one of which is a woman. This relief is the first to represent a woman in the garments of the highest state office.
They hold a scroll with the date A.D. CCCI F.R. - In 301 the republic of San Marino was founded.
