Description

On the northside of the pillars between the arches of the passover between the Cathedral and the Diocesan Palace on the westside is a stone tablet with text and a round relief portrait showing 22-year-old Rudolf Lunder and 15-year-old Ivan Adamič, who were both shot on 20 September 1908 when the Austrian army opened fire on a small number of civilians singing Slovenian songs during the tensions between the Slovenian and German-speaking communities.
