Description

Bronze statue of the writer standing, on a round pedestal of Ukrainian granite on a square base, over wich falls in heavy folds a bronze theater curtain, which also covers two sides of the base. On the two other sides of the base are reliefs with figures from Griboyedov's plays Woe from Wit - Горе от ума - Alexey Stepanovich Molchalin, Pavel Afanasyevich Famusov, his daughter Sofia Pavlovna, Colonel Skalozub, Count and Countess Tugoukhovski and the Natalia Dmitriyevna Goriche
