Description

In the artifical river, the Neglinka - Неглинка, are bronze sculpture groups depicting fairy tales by Ivan Andreyevich Krylov - Иван Андреевич Крылов (1769-1844). They are (from north to south):
  1. The Fox and the crane - Лисица и журавль
  2. The Frog Princess - Царевна-лягушка
  3. (Princes and goose)
  4. (woman and plant)
  5. The Wolf and the Bear - Волк и медведь
  6. Firebird - Жар-птица
  7. Old Man with goldfish - Старика с Золотой Рыбкой
  8. (Mermaid?)

Annotation

Tsereteli built a complex of twelve fountains in Manezhnaya Square, next to the Alexandrovskiy Garden. The main fountain is called The Geyser. Other fountains are the Four Seasons, symbolized by bronze horses; The Curtain (Ru: Zavesa), and Heroes of Fairy Tales, an array of canals with statues illustrating the fairy tales of Ivan Krylov.
