Description

Four allegorical statues on the balustrate of the garden of the National Palace of Belém:

Lisboa - José Eduardo Coelho
Unidentified female figure.
Diana as huntress with horn and a boar at her feet.
Apollo (?), male figure with oil lamp and laurel wreath.
Unidentified female figure.

On the website 'Du bleu dans mes nuages' the two central figures are described as 'As duas estátuas de Cipião, Eneis e Creuza, no Jardim do Palácio de Belém' (two statues of Scipio, Aeneas and Creusa, in the Garden of Belém palace), works from João José de Aguiar.
