18th century? |
The Loreto Church has remote origins in the 13th century, yet the present building dates from from 1676, and with the big earthquake and fire of 1755 got quite destroyed, and consequently restored and re-built in 1785. The main façade has in top a statue of Our Lady of Loreto, above the door the pontifical coat of arms of Borromini (17th century), and in niches on the sides statues of Sts. Peter and Paul.
Above the door in the west façade is a relief of Our Lady with Child, flankend by two Angels.
