Large mosaic showing the Peace of the gens Iulia by Julius Caesar (48 BC) following the peace between Rome and the Lusitani. It shows Julius Caesar on this throne receiving honor from a Lusitanian with sword and shield. The town known as Colonia Civitas Pacensis was in honor to this peace renamed 'Pax Iulia' - today Beja.
