Annotation

The Regimento de Guarnicão Nº 2 is formed in 1993 by a fusion of the Regimento de Infantaria de Ponta Delgada (Infantry Regiment of Ponta Delgada) and the Grupo de Artilharia de Guarnição Nº 1 (Artillery Group of Guarnição Nr. 1).
Both groups had their own patron, and statues of these patrons are at the entrance of the baracks.
