Description

Large monument with ten columns on two sides of a square. The first colums has the explaining texts. The nine other colums have relief portraits and medals of the nine liberators of Jēkabpils. On the square is a flat stone with a relief map of the region. Originally, in the center of the square was a large head of Lenin.

lielajā tēvijas karā parks nosaukt padomju armijas vārdā.

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet people
in Great Patriotic War this park was called after the Soviet Army.
