Description

Bronze statue of Grand Duke Gediminas walking in fron of his horse.

On the sides of the pedestal are relief portraits of Gediminas' successors:

On the front left corner of the pedestal is a relief of the howling iron wolf that appeared in Gediminas' dream and inspired him to move the country's capital from Trakai allegedly appeared.

Annotation

The marble sockle was a gift of the government of Ukraine, while the sculpture itself was cast free of charge in Tallinn.
