Annotation
The monument was a donation from Armido Bonato, who left Abano Terma shortly after the war and became rich in Venezuela. This explains the first line of the inscription: "Armido Bonato to his town".
The quarter of Abano Terme with the Via and Piazza Cristoforo Colombo is named "Colombo" and close to the monument we find Hotel Cristoforo and the Piscine Columbus.
Sculptor
- Paolo Boldrin, Italian sculptor of Padua.
