Monument consisting of a large white marble stele with at the top a portrait medaillon of Verdi and on its sides a two classical figures in high-relief. The man to the right covers his face as if to want to get out of reality. Carrarese Peppino dell'Amico, The sculptor was inspired by the verses of the song composed by G. D'Annunzio in honor of Verdi "gave a voice to hopes and mourning, wept and loved for all."
