Description

Seven-meter-tall sculpture comprising two figures, inspired by the Irish translation 'Fionnghlas' (clear streamlet). The figures hold above their heads a flag with cut-out figures, one of the figures a child figure on her (?) shoulders. In the bodies of the figures are also a number of cut-out figures, as a dog, four heads, various figures and animals.
The sculpture draws from the depths of local history, while also reflecting present-day Finglas.
It was unveiled by Lord Mayor of Dublin, Alison Gilliland, on 8 November 2021.
