artist unknown
1914 |
St Audoen's church was built between 1841 and 1847 to the neoclassical design of Patrick Byrne. In 1898 the portico including the statues were added by George Ashlin.
According to the description in Freeman's Journal of 13 May 1898 the statues are of St. Patrick, St. Laurence O'Toole and St. Audoen. However, the statues placed in 1914 are of Our Lady, Sacred Heart and St. Patrick.
