O'DONOVAN ROSSA BRIDGE This bridge was renamed in 1922 in memory of Jeremiah O'Donovan Rossa 1831-1915 "The clear true eyes of this man almost alone in his day visioned Ireland as we of today would surely have her: not free merely, but Gaelic as well; not Gaeli merely, but free and noble as well".
