Statue of St. Francis of Assisi and a boy with doves. According to tradition, the boy was bringing doves to the market in Siena to sell when he met the saint, who persuaded the youngster to give him the doves so that they could be set free.
The statue was erected in 1976 to commemorate the 750th anniversary of the death of St. Francis.
