Dockers Monument

Officially unveiled by Kevin Kiely, Mayor of
Limerick on Friday 18th June 2010 to
celebrate the contribution of the Dock
Labourers in Limerick.

In the presence of:
Monument Committee Chairman, Cllr. Jim
Long, City Manager, Mr. Tom Mackey,
Sculptor, Michael Duhan.

This sculpture was commissioned by Limerick
City Council and funded by The Department
of the Environment, Heritage and Local
Government under the Limerick Main
Drainage Percent for Art Scheme.

The English text is also on a stone in the pavement.
