Description

Bronze sculpture of a woman with onions in her hands.
The original 'Onion Seller' was cast in bronze in 1937 by sculptor Séamus Murphy. It is a monument to the women dealers in the Coal Quay, Cork City Open Market. The same statue was placed 10 years later 250 m further in Cornmarket Street (here)
