Description

Sculpture group of three figures referencing to Cistercian monks. The central figure has the bible in his hands, the two outer figures are just 'empty' monk's habits. On the base if each statue is one of the three words forming the Irish name of the town: Mainistir Fhear Maí (= monastery of the Men of the Plain).

The Cork City Council site ascribe this sculpture to Michael Loughlin, although it is signed by Mick Davis.
