Saints Peter and Paul

The apostles Peter and Paul are often depicted together. In Catholic tradition, Peter is said to have founded the church in Rome with Paul, served as its bishop, authored two epistles, and then met martyrdom there along with Paul.

Description

Ss. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church is a Romanesque-style Roman Catholic church, started c. 1875 and finished 1934, designed by J.J. O'Callaghan, W.G. Doolin and George Ashlin. It has a relief in the tympanum above the door.
