Description

Bronze statue of Russell on an octagonal pedestal in two tiers, the upper tier shows the coats of arms of the four provinces of Ireland and lists of towns in each province, the lower tier has three texts in Irish and two lists of names.

Annotation

The present bronze statue replaces the 1951 stone statue, which was vandalized a few times and finally stayed headless and armless.
