DUBLIN CORPORATION PARKS DEPT. dublin millennium one of dublin's major contributions to european st. patrick's park has been restored thanks |
The plaque for Dillon – the only woman in this parade – seems to be added later, since it is out of the chronological order of birth years and of a slightly different design. It was added after her death in 1994 – without changing the general signs, which speaks of "distinguished sons of literature" (also Behan is slightly out of the chronological order, being the youngest, he should have been the first). Also Beckett, died in 1989, has to be added later.
Coll created the portrait reliefs while Brennan designed the plaques and the lettering.
