Hibernia with Mercury and Fidelity

Thomas Kirk
1818

Dublin - Baile Átha Cliath / Hibernia with Mercury and Fidelity

Description

Three statues over the portico of the Post Office:
  1. Mercury with his Caduceus and purse;
  2. Hibernia, resting on her spear and holding a harp
  3. Fidelity with a hound at her feet and a key held in her right hand (due to these features it is argued that the statue is in fact of Hecate).
