Description

Bronze statue of Deák sitting on a chair. The statue is on a high pedestal of granite, measuring 9 x 5.5 m, flanked with four allegorical statues representing Deák work and achievements:

Annotation

The sculptur Huszár Adolf died before the monument was completed. To finish the composition, the city assigned Adolf Keszler and Ede Mayer, it was executed by their student Stróbl Alajos (later he became one of the most renowned sculptors of memorials in Hungary at the turn of the 20th century). The postament is Albert Schickedanz`s work.
