Description

Bronze statue of Nikola Tesla sitting on the ground.

Tesla and the sculptor Meštrović were friends, they both went to the United States from Yugoslavia.Tesla admired Meštrović's talent and asked the artist to make a portrait of him, which was the first bronze cast in the Tesla Museum in Belgrade. This statue was a special gift by Ivan Meštrović for the Roger Boscovich Institute in Zagreb. In 2006 it was moved to the center of the city on the occasion of the celebration of Tesla's 150th anniversary.
