Description

'Pirate Cat' with eye-patch is looking from the bird's nest of a ship's mast - a half-scale replica of HMS Redcar, a 'Racecourse' class minesweeper that was sunk on 24th June 1917 near Dover. Originally it stood on the site of the new Redcar Beacon and was in 2011 replaced to the present location.
