Description

Painted stone Moai sculpture, carved by contemporary Maori artist George Nuku. It shows moai Tutira and serves as a symbol of Cook's connections with Easter Island. It was unveiled on 28 March 2008 alongside the opening of the exhibition The Pacific Style of George Nuku.
