Description

Series of tree sculptures depicting characters from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll (ps. of Charles Lutwidge Dodgson). Carroll spent time as choirboy at Ripon Cathedral and is said to have been inspired to create the characters by the cathedral's animal carvings. The carvings were damaged in 2014, and restored by Burns, who at the same time added a few figures.

For the carvings the trunks of a cypress tree were used.
