Saint Mary of Lourdes

Statue of Saint Mary of Lourdes, with roses on her feet.
Vic Allen wrote us: "I spoke to a long-serving member of the congregation called 'Phil' who was christened in the church 67 years ago and who - since he's a builder - helps to maintain it. He couldn't tell me much about the statuette, except that it's been in that niche as long as he can remember. There's a photograph of the building on the Parish website (www.olasotley.org) that dates back to 1836 which shows an EMPTY niche.
