Description

Sculpture of a sack-carrying Cleveland Bay packhorse with a bell around its neck, made of hand-welded small rectangles of steel. It stands on a 15 m high platform in the shopping centre. 'Equus altus' is Latin for 'High horse'. The sculpture honours the horses that once carted goods around the city.
