Description

Statue of Queen Victoria seated on the throne, wearing a crown, and holding sceptre and orb, with at the foot the text "1837 VICTORIA 1901". On the socle texts and the coat of arms of the Lord Mayor of York.
Unveiled in the Guildhall of York on 24 October 1905 by princess Henry of Battenberg (Princes Beatrice of the United Kingdom), daugher of Queen Victoria.
