Portraits of the founders of the Yorkshire Penny Bank

Description

Over the main entrance of the former Yorkshire Penny Bank are four portraits of the bank's founders of 1859:

Colonel Edward Akroyd (1810-1887), Halifax worsted manufacturer and founder of the Yorkshire Penny Bank (Wikipedia).
Sir Henry Ripley, 1st Baronet (1813-1882), a prominent Bradford dye works proprietor (Wikipedia).
Peter Bent, General Manager of the Bank from 1858.
John Ward, Director of the Bank between 1873-1880.

Built in 1895 by architect was J. Ledingham.
