Bronze statue of Queen Victoria.

Annotation

The statue was erected and the square renamed Victoria Square on 10 Januari 1901. Victoria died just 12 days later. The original statue in marble was by Thomas Brock (1901), it was recast in bronze by William Bloye (1951).
