Annotation

The statue of the 'Dickens of Wales' is unveiled on 31 October 1901 by Lord Kenyon. "The memorial gives a perfect likeness of the Welsh novelist, who died in 1895, having spent most of his life at Mold. The back of the statue can be seen from the railway."
