The Love of God
This statue has been created to remind us of God's love for each one
of us. This love has been revealed through the coming of Jesus Christ
As you contemplate the different aspects of this image we pray
that you will discover the deep love that God has for you.
The smooth side of the sculpture is like a standing stone that represents
a human figure. The edge of the stone represents Mary's veil; Jesus
as a child figure spirals out of the centre, the result of God becoming
human and Mary's willingness to say "yes".
At the back of the sculpture, a hole allows light into the interior.
representing Mary as a channel of communication with Christ,
her Son. The back represents a bone, symbolising human
mortality and a reminder to us that it is through the life of
Jesus we discover our hope and promise of salvation.

Cariad Duw
Crewyd y cerflun hwn i'n hatgoffa o gariad Duw at bob un ohonom.
Cafodd y cariad hwn ei ddatgelu drwy ddyfodiad Iesu Grist. Wrth i chi
fyfyrio ar wahanol agweddau o'r cerflun rydym yn gweddïo y
byddwch yn darganfod y cariad dwfn sydd gan Dduw atoch chi.
Mae ochr lyfn y cerflun yn debyg i faen hir sy'n cynrychioli ffurf ddynol.
Mae ymyl y maen yn cynrychioli gorchiudd Mair; mae'r Iesu fel
plentyn yn troelli allan o'r canol, canlyniad Duw'n dod yn
ddynol a bodlonrwydd Mair i ddweud 'gwnaf'.
Yng nghefn y cerflun, mae twll i'r golau fynd i'r canol, yn cynrychioli
Mair fel sianel o gyfathrebu â Christ, ei Mab. Mae'r cefn yn cynrychioli
asgwrn, yn symbol o farwoldeb dynol ac yn ein hatgoffa mai trwy fywyd
Iesu yr ydym yn darganfod ein gobaith a'n haddewid o iachawdwriaeth.
