Bronze statue of Thomas Edward Ellis in academic robes, with a book in the right hand and the left hand upraised as though teaching. On the sides of the pedestal are four stone reliefs panels depicting:

Annotation

The statue is unveiled on 7 October 1903 by John Morley, M.P. A plaster (?) copy is in the Old College of Aberystwyth.
