Description

Bronze statue of Prince Edward wearing ornate embroidered robes of University Chancellor. His arms folded loosely across chest, and in his right hand he holds a tassled mortar board.

Annotation

The only known full-length statue of Edward Albert, Prince of Wales, future Edward VIII, later Duke of Windsor, was unveiled 30 October 1923 at the occasion of the opening by the Prince of the new building of the Aberystwyth University Students' Union.
