This wood carving was created to commemorate the 400th
anniversary of the death of Thomas Jones of Tregaron,
born at Porth y Ffynnon in 1530, a stone's throw from
here.
The carving was the inspiration of the Dysgu Gydan'n
Gilydd project part financed by:- Aberystwyth University,
Objective 1 European Social Fund and Communities First
Trust Fund. Grace Young Monaghan was commissioned to
complete the carving in 2009.
