The sculpture forms a part of the 2012 Olympic celebrations, capturing a moment in time and honouring the outstanding achievements of one of Baths finest athletes. The unveiling took place on 22 May 2012 to coincide with the Olympic Flame coming to light the way to the London 2012 Games.
