A brick arch which below on one site a lion's head spouting water, and on the other side two sitting figures of working men, a farmer lifting up sheaves of corn, and a miner with a pickaxe and miner's lamp. These two statues came from Broad Quay House, the Bristol headquarters of the Co-operative Wholesale Society, built in 1906, and pulled down in 1973.

At the lion's side of the arch is inscribed: IN MEMORY OF KING GEORGE 1910-1936.
