In front of the Victoria Rooms is a large fountain, forming the centrepiece of a collection of sculptures, the statue of King Edward VII looking over the fountain, and in front of the Victoria Rooms two bronze lions and on the pediment above, a fine Grecian relief sculpture.
The statue shows Edward VII in his coronation robe. On the front of the pedestal is the royal coat of arms, on the back the arms or the city of Bristol.
It is unveiled 5 July 1913 by the Lord Mayor of Bristol with King George V.
