Description

Sculpture of a robed figure. It is a replica of the main figure from a sculpture group at Dorchester representing the Dorset Martyrs. The robed figure represents the executioner and the other two figures were the victims walking towards their fate but these are not part of the Reading sculpture.

Dame Elizabeth Frink (Thurlow, Suffolk 1930 - Blandford Forum, Dorset 1993), English sculptor and printmaker (Wikipedia).
