Description

Figure of an airman seated on a convex pedestal and staring out to sea in contemplative mood. The figure is set in the hub of an immense three bladed propellor cut into the chalk hillside. Badges of 68 squadrons which participated in the Battle of Britain carved on pedestal. Also bronze plaques containing names.
