Description

Sculpture of an English and German World War I soldier reaching out to each other. Between them lies a football. It commemorates the Christmas Truce football event near the hamlet of St. Yvon, 3 kilometres south of Mesen/Messines, which took place on 24 December 1914.

Another copy of this statue is in Mesen in Belgium.
